Key Holder Program

Our lastest and already hugely popular service to apartment owners in Budapest is the Key Holder program. This program is aimed mainly but not exclusively to those owners who

  a) want the apartment for their own use but who are not here all the time
  b) do not want to let the apartment
  c) who have apartment that has been vacant for a while.

Why do you need this program?

Because an empty apartment without any supervision can cause a lot of problems and serious financial loss.

Our experience shows that one of the major problems in both older and newer buildings is a burst water pipe. Hungary is a country of the extreme climate changes ranging from 40 centigrade in the summer to minus 20 in the winter. Old pipes suffer. Its not only older pipes but one’s neighbours. We have had to deal with several situations where a neighbour has left a tap on or a washing machine hose was poorly fitted and the subsequent leaks. Caught early these can de dealt with easily. Neglected they can cause serious problems and liabilities especially if the leak goes beyond your apartment into a neighbouring one. Other potential problems include gas leaks and damage from the frequent storms here.

Thereafter an empty apartment without supervision can and often is the target of burglars, vandals and even worse squatters.

The Key Holder problem serves to avoid such situations and where they occur to deal with them very quickly. We contact the building management on your behalf and ask them to contact us with any queries or problems. We do the same with all the neighbours and then we send one of our staff out to make regular check ups either every two weeks or at least monthly - depending on the service required.
